In screening individual common stocks for investment, Long Wharf utilizes its proprietary valuation and technical computer models to search global databases for companies that promise above-average growth in cash flow while also providing a long-term track record of steadily expanding sales and earnings.
Typically, these are dividend-paying companies with strong finances and attractive valuations relative to their expected growth rates. Once we narrow down an 8,000+ global stock universe to a manageable list of about 100-200 candidates, we perform further qualitative screening and fundamental analysis. We diversify portfolios among domestic and foreign companies and across sectors of the economy, favoring those sectors expected to perform best in the current or upcoming phase of the economic cycle.
